The Stonewall County Courthouse is located in Aspermont, Texas.

The Stonewall County Courthouse was erected in 1983 in a Modern style. The original county capitol built in the inaugural county seat of Rayner is now a private residence.
Stonewall County was one of 54 counties formed by the 15th Texas Legislature in 1876 from the Young and Bexar districts; the county was named for Gen. T. J. (Stonewall) Jackson. Stonewall County remained attached to Young County for judicial and other governmental purposes until March 31, 1887, when it was attached to Jones County for convenience. In 1888 the residents of the county petitioned the Jones County Commissioners Court to conduct an election for the county’s organization.
