Every profession has its share of bad apples, and the real estate industry is no exception.  An unpleasant by-product of the Texas real estate boom is an explosion in the number of real estate professionals licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission. This sharp increase has created extreme competition for clients and transactions.

A small population of real estate professionals seek competitive advantage and profits by purposely abusing the public trust and personal relationships.  Other times, real estate agents and brokers are incompetent, untrained, improperly supervised or just careless. Professional negligence abounds when priority is placed on revenues over service.

Whether a party to transaction is harmed intentionally or through the negligence of a real estate agent or broker, the real estate professional must be held accountable. Realtor misconduct and negligence can cause significant harm to clients and even the opposite party to real estate transaction.
